The geology is very well exposed and consists of a young Plinean eruptive sequence composed of basalt and andesite flows at the base, overlain by dacitic ignimbrites, block & ash falls and surge deposits all overlying a metamorphic basement. The volcanics are cut by younger juvenile fluvial channels. The property contains a number of placer gold and kaoline (china clay) operations. |
