Sage Gold Inc., Ontario |

I spent the bulk of the spring, summer and fall of 2008 working with Sage Gold on their Beardmore properties. I acted as co–project manager of the program which involved over 50 crew members. The majority of my work included field crew management, GIS and geochemistry database creation and maintenance, site visits and assessment & mapping of showings, report writing (internal, Ontario Assessment and contributions to a 43-101), drilling supervision & drillcore logging and various logistical duties. In addition, I also:
-Implemented various QA/QC protocols for drillcore logging and sampling (geotechnical logging, standards/blanks).
-Created an ArcGIS project containing historical and current exploration data.
-Organized investor fieldtrips to various key showings on the property.
-Reinterpreted the genesis of a number of the showings on the property with the goal of better understanding the type of deposit in order to direct future exploration efforts.

Other deposit types include structurally controlled auriferous quartz veins (Golden Extension), shear & lineation (fold axes?) controlled quartz vein/stockwork and felsic porphyry systems (e.g. Tashota), ultramafic hosted Cu-Ni (Jacobus) and possible felsic hosted VMS targets (e.g. Big M). Mineralization on the claims to the south (in the Beardmore-Geraldton belt) consist of structurally controlled auriferous quartz veins and iron formation hosted gold. |

Sage Gold holds a number of properties in the Beardmore-Geraldton area which cover a wide range of mineralization styles. The majority of the mineral showings in the Onaman-Tashota belt consist of mafic-hosted polymetallic (Au-Ag-Cu-Pb-Zn) mesothermal vein systems controlled by lithological contacts and/or high strain/shear zones (e.g. Lynx). |
